WDI B3800 Fill Valve. This valve includes the replenish tube, gasket, and nut. This fill valve is used in the Briggs tank model 4494. The first step when replacing a fill valve is to shut the water supply off the toilet, and disconnect the supply line from the bottom of the existing valve. Once this step is complete you will need to flush the stop out. You can do this by placing the end of the supply line into an empty bucket, and turning the water on. Allow the water to run for a few seconds, and the shut the water supply back off. It is recommended to repeat this step at least two to three times before installing the new fill valve. This will make sure there is no debris left in the line that will flow directly into the new fill valve which can damage it, and extremely shorten the lifespan of the valve. Once this step is complete you will remove the nut at the base of the fill valve, and lift it out of the toilet tank. The last steps are to place the new fill valve through the hole in the tank, and secure it with the nut provided. You will then attach the rubber replenish tube from the fill valve to the overflow tube of the flush valve, and turn the water on.
